Built in 1819 by William Youel, a Scottish immigrant who fought in the American Revolution, the house later passed to his son and grandson before David Condon bought it in 1863. William died in 1834 at age 100, and he and his wife are buried in the family cemetery up the hill. The house has been owned by the Condon family ever since.
