The Indian Pueblo Cultural Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico, is owned and operated by the 19 Indian Pueblos of New Mexico and opened in August 1976 as a nonprofit organization. Created to preserve and perpetuate Pueblo culture, history, and art, it presents the story of Pueblo peoples from precontact times to the present through museum exhibitions and active cultural programming. Its campus includes a permanent museum, galleries, a library, a store, a restaurant, and spaces for rotating exhibitions and public events. It serves both as a major cultural institution and as a source of economic opportunity for Pueblo and surrounding communities.
