Kreyenhagen Hills
Nature
Kreyenhagen Hills is a foothill range in western Fresno and Kings counties, California, along the outer edge of the Diablo Range. It forms a long belt of softer formations between Reef Ridge and the Kettleman Plain, divided by streams into several groups. In the northeast, repeated parallel ridges create a striking wave-like landscape, with gentler dip slopes on one side and steeper, gullied faces on the other. Some clustered hillocks may have inspired the name Jacalitos Creek, while the straight troughs between ridges likely influenced the name Canoas Creek. Southward, the hills grow lower and gradually merge into the Kettleman Plain. The name comes from the family that originally owned land there.
