The Third Order Missionary Sisters of Saint Francis of Peekskill, New York, established Ladycliff College at the site of the present West Point Welcome Center and Museum to educate young women in the Franciscan tradition and to ensure that all alumnae maintain their ties to the Franciscan spirit that was and continues to be Ladycliff.
