The Delphi limestone quarry has been in operation since the late nineteen-forties. In 1994, U.S. Aggregates halted production at the quarry below and allowed it to fill with water. The plant currently producing limestone began production in 1994. The lake filling the quarry below is approximately 32 acres in area and 100 feet deep.
