One-half mile to the west and southwest lies the Battlefield of Glendale, or Frazier's Farm, where the Confederate divisions of Longstreet and A.P. Hill attacked on June 30, 1862, and forced the withdrawal of Federal troops covering McClellan's march toward the James River.
