The grateful citizens of this community dedicated this memorial in humble recognition of the devotion to duty and sacrifices of its World War II veterans. Those killed in action or who died in service were Charles J. Blozevich, Steve Dusik, Joseph Franko, Joseph Hinebaugh, William R. Margo, John M. McGinty, William A. McKnight, Walter Pallas, Paul Palyocsik, Robert I. Patterson, and Frank L. Progar. A later keystone added remembrance of the men and women from the Saint Michael area who served the country gallantly in all wars.
