Built by John Wilhite and Jim Adams in 1892, this store also served as the old Dillard post office when the community had a mill, school, blacksmith shop, and other buildings. Most of its contents originated from the Theo. Langenberg store in Hope, Gasconade County, Missouri. These items were commonly found in rural stores at the turn of the 20th century.
