Built around 1910 by Union News Co., this portable newsstand was located at the Manasquan NJNY&LBRR Station. The Union News Co. of New York operated newsstands at most large rail stations, terminals, and hotels in the New York metropolitan area from 1908 to 1969. Smaller newsstands such as this were designed to be portable and hauled by train, wagon, or truck wherever they were needed, and this one was moved to Allaire in November 1969.
