At Grimes Airport in Bethel Township, Pennsylvania, this aviation museum centers on the Golden Age of Aviation by presenting historic and reproduction aircraft in the setting of a working airfield. It grew from restoration work begun in 1985 by Paul Dougherty Sr. and Paul Dougherty Jr. at Warrington Airport, then relocated after that airport closed. In 1996 they bought Grimes Airport and founded the museum with James A. McCord, opening the next summer with nine airplanes. By 2013 the collection had grown to nearly three dozen aircraft, including a Link Trainer, and in 2023 it completed a reproduction SPAD XIII. The site also hosts flying events, including the twice-yearly Golden Age Flying Circus.
