The Henry B. Tippie National Aviation Education Center at Dallas Executive Airport in Dallas is an aviation museum and educational center operated by the American Airpower Heritage Museum, affiliated with the Commemorative Air Force. Focused on the material culture and lived experience of World War II military aviation, it grew from a collection first established in Mercedes, Texas, in 1965, then moved to Harlingen, Midland, and finally Dallas in 2015. Named for World War II veteran Henry B. Tippie, the center holds nearly 400,000 artifacts, thousands of oral histories, extensive library and archival collections, and the world’s largest collection of original World War II nose art panels.
