The Baptist Church of Christ at Davis Creek was constituted in the year of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ 1797, receiving in election and predestination, carrying her own key, giving free liberty of conscience to think and speak in love, purity, and fidelity, with her association first held 1806, and this memorial was put up 1853 by Joseph Hunter, who was born March the 15 1791 and died July the 4 1879 at age 88 Y 3 M 19 D.
