Pima Butte is a mountain summit in Arizona’s Gila Valley about eight miles north of present-day Maricopa, rising 1,660 feet above sea level and standing out as a prominent landmark in the desert. Its historical importance lies chiefly in its closeness to the 1857 Battle of Pima Butte, which was named for the mountain.
