The beautiful Merry-Go-Round, the park's third, was built in 1926 for the Sesqui-Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia, but it was not finished in time. Kennywood bought it for the 1927 season. It is the last carousel built by legendary designer William Dentzel and features 66 animals. The 1916 Wurlitzer band organ came from the park's second Merry-Go-Round.
