First Baptist Church of Ripon, built in 1857, was entered on the National Register of Historic Places on July 21, 2006. Its building and grounds were presented to the Frank H. Brown Post 43, American Legion of Ripon, Wisconsin, by its auxiliary as a memorial to the men and women who faithfully served their country, on land or sea, during the Civil War, the Spanish American War, and the World War.
