Built in the early 1900's, this building served as Monterey's second post office. Its upstairs meeting room was rented to various church groups and other organizations. It remained the post office until 1955, when a new one was constructed on the corner of Commercial Avenue and Poplar Street. Since then, it has housed a TV repair shop, a comics bookstore, and an insurance company. In 2021, local couple Jon and Lindsey Phillips bought the building and carried out a major renovation project.
