Built in the Queen Anne Style with polygonal bays and a corbelled chimney, this house became both the office and residence of Dr. Lester Emmett Cross. Considered the dean of the local medical profession, this physician was affectionately called “Dr. Stork,” for it was said a child could not be “well born” unless it was delivered by Dr. Cross.
