Mill Springs Battlefield National Monument in Kentucky preserves the landscape of the January 1862 Battle of Mill Springs, also known as Fishing Creek and Logan's Crossroads. Spread across several separated areas near Mill Springs and Beech Grove, it includes the main battlefield, Confederate fortifications, related burial grounds, memorials, and a museum in Nancy. Although no wartime buildings survive on the field, much of the terrain still conveys the battle's action. The site also preserves the memory of General Felix K. Zollicoffer's death and later remembrance, while ongoing protection by public and private groups has made Mill Springs an important nationally recognized Civil War battlefield.
