Sackets Harbor Battlefield includes the Commandant's House, built 1847-50 and interpreting the period 1850-61; a Well House built in 1851 and reconstructed in 1987; the site of the Root House; the site of Fort Tompkins from the War of 1812; the Lieutenant's House, built 1847-48 and used as the present-day orientation center, gift shop, exhibition gallery, and historic site offices; a Stable built in 1847 and modified in 1914-15, now an exhibition area and restroom; an Ice House from 1850; Battlefield Park and the 1913 Centennial Monument; Hall House, built in 1832 and now public restrooms; a Well House reconstructed about 1990; an Heirloom Vegetable Garden; a seasonal living-history encampment; a Picnic Pavilion from 2001; a Barn dating to about 1912 and now used as program space; the site of Fort Kentucky from the War of 1812; a site maintenance office and shop; and the Union Hotel, built in 1817 and now the Seaway Trail Discovery Center.
