Lake Henry Congregational Church stood as part of the Lake Henry community from 1878 to 1954 and honored the Christian pioneers and founders of the community and church. Its memory was linked to the biblical words, “And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God’s house,” and to an appeal that all who entered the ground do so with reverence and leave only after offering a prayer for themselves and their brethren.
