Beartown Mountain is a summit in the Clinch Mountain range in eastern Russell County, Virginia. At 4,689 feet, it is the seventh-highest summit in the state and the 41st highest county high point in the eastern United States. The mountain lies within the 25,477-acre Clinch Mountain Wildlife Management Area, and the ridgelines south and northeast of the summit form much of that protected area's approximate boundary. Its importance rests both on its notable elevation and on its place within the broader protected landscape of Clinch Mountain.
