Built in 1903 by local builder R.B. Allington, the passenger station featured separate male and female waiting rooms. The railroad saw much activity during World War I and World War II and was an important source of transportation for Sterling College students until 1965. The depot underwent a complete renovation in 1984 by Granville M. Bush IV for a law office.
