Cobblestone Mountain
Nature
Cobblestone Mountain is a 6,738-foot peak in Southern California’s Topatopa Mountains, about 14 miles north of Piru, within the Sespe Wilderness of Los Padres National Forest. It is the third highest summit in the Topatopa range, below Alamo Mountain at 7,402 feet. Seen from the east, it stands out as the most visually prominent summit in the Alamo Mountain region. Its distinctive profile is visible across a broad area, including the Santa Clarita Valley, higher parts of the San Fernando Valley, the westbound descent of Santa Susana Pass on State Route 118, and from Gorman along Interstate 5. Winter snow often heightens its striking appearance.
