This brick building was built between 1910 and 1915. It originally had a concrete block front, but it was replaced with the current front after a 1950's fire. The north side housed the Hardware & Garage of E.H. Gibson, later operated by his son E.H. "Gibby" Gibson, Jr. The south side was originally home to Lannom-Johnson Plumbing Company, later the Stovall Plumbing Company. Beginning in 1915, the Humboldt Business College operated upstairs.
