At 100 feet in length, the Queen of the Lake was the largest of five steamboats and boat launches operated by the Norton family on Big Green Lake. Built near this site in the mid-1890s and powered by coal and wood, the Queen was famous for its Round the Lake excursions until the late 1920s.
