The Itha T. Krumme Memorial Arboretum, northwest of Falls City, Nebraska, is a two-acre garden dedicated to the state’s native plant life. Located beside Stanton Lake Park at West 25th and Stanton Lake Park Road, it offers a compact but carefully focused collection of Nebraska species. The arboretum contains thirty types of trees and twenty varieties of shrubs, grasses, and wildflowers native to the state. Its plantings include paw paw, shagbark hickory, and every oak species native to Nebraska, giving visitors a small but representative view of the region’s natural landscape.
