Welcome to LaVista Park
Nature
2
LaVista Park was dedicated on April 22, 2003. It features an organic community garden and a one-mile hard-surface trail that cuts through fields and prairie, winds along a rock creek under the canopy of a deep forest, then leaves the park to join the Vadalabene Bike Trail, which offers views of the bluffs and the Mississippi River. The park has ninety-three acres, and its one-mile hiking and biking trail crosses through the center with fairly easy travel except for a very steep decline between the wildlife viewing area and the 0.5 mile point. The trail connects with the state-run Vadalabene Bike Trail along the Great River Road and the Mississippi River.
