Bonhoeffer Botanical Gardens is a botanical garden north of Seattle with a dual purpose of regional horticulture and remembrance. Named for Dietrich Bonhoeffer, the Lutheran pastor and scholar executed in April 1945 at Nazi Germany’s Flossenburg concentration camp, it honors his memory while focusing on the natural heritage of the Pacific Northwest. Its collection of native plants gives the garden a distinctly regional character as well as commemorative significance.
