Dedicated on July 4, 1976, this memorial honors all veterans of all wars, including the disabled and those who gave their lives in hope that their children would never need to fight or die to keep the country strong and free, while especially affirming the belief that if called, their children would emulate their parents in upholding the honor of the United States.
