Covered Bridge 202 was originally the Yankee Creek Covered Bridge, carrying vehicle traffic across Antelope Creek on Yankee Creek Road. In 1986, the City of Eagle Point obtained Bridge 202 from Jackson County and moved it to the Little Butte Creek location to provide safe passage from N. Royal Ave. to N. Shasta Ave. for school children and the general public. Citizens of Eagle Point supported and funded the bridge and its move through donations. Bridge 202 is a 58 foot long Queenpost bridge built in 1922. Because of its historic value and the public support behind its acquisition and relocation, it requires special care to preserve and protect its construction and integrity and to maintain a safe route for pedestrian traffic.
