A replica of the original Wegmann Store was built in 1977 as part of an ongoing summer crafts program to demonstrate log cabin construction. Craftsperson Christopher Alpine of Lengby, Minnesota, carefully measured the original store while it was still standing, then used hand tools to cut and shape each log for the replica. The completed structure conveys the size and construction characteristics of Mr. Wegmann’s original store.
