Lillian Glacier was a glacier in Washington’s Olympic Mountains within Olympic National Park, and its remnants lie in a cirque below McCartney Peak. Between 1905 and 2010, it melted away almost entirely, most likely because of global warming. What survives is only a small trace of what had once been a larger body of ice in a high mountain basin, making the site a stark example of dramatic glacier loss over time.
