Snow Creek is a ski resort on the Missouri River bluffs near Iatan, northwest of Kansas City, bringing downhill skiing and tubing to an uncommon winter sports setting in the central United States. Opened in 1986 as the second Peak Resorts property, it has 11 trails across 25 acres, with a lift elevation of 1,099 feet and a 300-foot vertical drop, served by chair lifts and surface lifts. Its tornado alley tubing trail reflects a strong regional identity. On April 30, 2003, a tornado touched down there during a wider outbreak, causing only minimal damage and no injuries. In 2019, it became part of Vail Resorts.
