Wornall Homestead

Built in 1858 by John Wornall on his 640-acre farm, the house stood in the center of heavy fighting on October 23, 1864. After the last Confederate charge north toward Westport was repulsed, the house was used as a field hospital for both Union and Confederate wounded.
