History
Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Park is dedicated to the memory of Theodore Roosevelt, the twenty-sixth President of the United States, born in New York City in 1858 and died at Oyster Bay in 1919. It was given as a gift of a grateful people. Roosevelt declared in his 1912 Carnegie Hall speech, “We here in America hold in our hands the hope of the world the fate of the coming years.”
