Chinworth Bridge
Warsaw, Indiana
Science & Tech
Chinworth Bridge was built in 1897 across the Tippecanoe River by the Bellefontaine Bridge and Iron Company of Ohio. The single-span 140-foot iron bridge is the last remaining Pratt through truss bridge in the county. U.S. Highway 30 bypassed it in 1924. It was closed to vehicle traffic in 1975, leased by the Kosciusko County Historical Society that same year, and listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.
