Area military men and women faithfully served their country across the War of 1812, the Civil War, the Spanish American War, the World War I era, the World War II era, the Korean era, the Vietnam era, and later global wars including the Persian Gulf War, Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, Lebanon, Grenada, Panama, Somalia, Angola, Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Their names were etched in granite as a place of thankful remembrance, and those who offered the supreme sacrifice were also identified from World War I and World War II.
