A memorial in the Tyrone area honors Pennsylvania Railroad workers who served in World War II. The stone once held a World War I Doughboy statue erected in 1921 for Tyrone residents who served in World War I, and that statue now stands in Soldier's Park, 1400 Lincoln Avenue, with other monuments to Tyrone military members who served in all conflicts. The memorial was dedicated in memory of P.R.R. workers from the Tyrone area and was presented by Mr. and Mrs. William N. Duey, whose Penn Central service spanned 1942 to 1975.
