Illinois commands listed here took part in the campaign around Missionary Ridge but not in the assault on November 25, 1863. The infantry brigades included Morgan's Brigade with the 10th, 16th, and 60th Infantry; Starkweather's Brigade with the 24th Infantry; J. Beatty's Brigade with the 34th and 78th Infantry; Hecker's S. Brigade with the 80th and 82nd Infantry; Daniel McCook's Brigade with the 85th, 86th, 110th, and 125th Infantry; Whitaker's Brigade with the 96th and 115th Infantry; Tyndale's Brigade with the 101st Infantry; Wilder's Brigade with the mounted 92nd and 123rd Infantry, with Company E of the 92nd detached as escort to General Cruft; Long's Brigade with the mounted 98th Infantry; and Enyart's Brigade with the 21st and 38th Infantry. Also serving were Company K of the 15th Cavalry as escort to General Hooker, and Illinois light batteries M, Bridges' Battery, C, I, A, B, F, I, and H, along with Cogswell's Battery and the Chicago Board of Trade Battery.
