Located on County Road F east of Deronda, Ubet has essentially disappeared. In 1910 the town had a blacksmith shop, warehouse, creamery, shoe repair shop, post office, horse stable, ice house, general store, and feed mill, with a population of about 50. By 1960 the population had fallen to 4, including Al and Ruth Route, owners of the general store. Everything is now gone except an abandoned school and a couple of houses. The store was built in 1933 by the bank in Dresser to replace an earlier building that had burned down, and the Routes bought it then and operated it for many years. The building was later donated by Mel and Marilyn Truhlson and restored by the New Richmond Preservation Society.
