F. S. Hurd built this house in 1904 after coming here in 1902 to establish a bank, now First National. He also founded Broken Arrow Federal Savings and Loan, promoted agriculture, and supported farm youth programs. Known as "Mr. Broken Arrow," he was recognized for his vast community services.
