Built in 1867, this four-story structure featured Italianate Commercial architecture and once had a cupola at its peak. It was first known as the Seitz House Hotel in 1886 and remained a hotel for more than 30 years. In 1916 it housed the South Side Theatre, and it later housed the Decatur Restaurant for 20 additional years. From 1939 to 1948, it also served as a bus station for I&SE Lines and as a financial institution for Decatur County National Bank.
