Wind Creek State Park is an Alabama state park on the western side of Lake Martin near Alexander City, encompassing one thousand four hundred forty-five acres along the shore of the Tallapoosa River reservoir. Managed by the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, it is a major outdoor recreation destination with boating, fishing, swimming, picnicking, rental cabins, and nearly six hundred campsites, making it one of the largest state-owned campgrounds in the United States. The park also offers extensive equestrian and hiking trails, including a trail system designated a National Recreation Trail in 2011, and features a 1915 grain silo adapted as a viewing platform and nature center.
