Giorgio Beverly Hills, created by Fred Hayman and George Grant, originally opened at this site in 1961. The first luxury boutique on Rodeo Drive, its name was derived from Grant's first name. It introduced the West Coast to international trend-setting designers and catered to world-famous celebrities and socialites. Its signature yellow and white striped awning came to symbolize the glamorous Beverly Hills lifestyle and helped establish Rodeo Drive as a shopping destination of renown.
