The Swift Museum at McMinn County Airport in Athens, Tennessee, centers on preserving the history of the Globe Swift light aircraft through collecting, restoration, and archival work. Founded in 1968 by Charlie Nelson, the Swift Museum Foundation expanded its stewardship by acquiring the Globe Swift type certificate and production tooling in the early 1980s and the first production Swift in 2007. It also partnered with AirCorps Library to digitize drawings and manuals. From 2008 through 2018, the site developed into a larger complex of offices, storage, and hangar space. Its collection later grew with the donation of the sole LoPresti Fury, while its annual fly-in sustains an active enthusiast community.
