Ashpoint Plantation, built circa 1875, was the residence of Elam S. Dortch, believed to be the last surviving Confederate veteran residing in Bossier Parish. Around 1923, it was moved to its present site from its original location nearer the river. It was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
