Manhattan Beach State Recreation Site is a small Oregon state park on the Pacific coast, north of Rockaway Beach on U.S. Route 101. Its 41 acres provide public access for picnicking, fishing, and beachgoing, connecting to a seven-mile public strand between Tillamook Bay and Nehalem Bay, with the Oregon Coast Trail passing through. The site includes coastal vegetation, picnic tables, restrooms, and views south toward the Twin Rocks sea stacks. Its name came not from a natural feature but from a resort-era place name established after a nearby rail station opened in 1912. Later community use and a long-running post office preserved the promotional name.
