Millstadt Junction, at MP 0, was the starting point of the 8-mile branch line to Millstadt II. Completed in 1883 by the St. Louis & Cairo RR, the line provided passenger and freight service to Millstadt, with stops at Krause (Columbia Quarry), Darmstadt near the old Farmers Inn at Triple Lakes Rd., and the Millstadt depot. The Millstadt depot still stands and is currently a food pantry. In 1945, the GM&O sold the line to local businessmen, who renamed it the Columbia & Millstadt RR. The line was abandoned and its tracks were removed in 1961, and Quarry Rd. was built on the former railbed.
