The first bank in Brockville opened on Court House Avenue in September 1843 as the Bank of Montreal. The present building opened on March 28, 1966, on a site occupied by the bank since 1957. It was unveiled by His Worship Joh G. Broome, Mayor of Brockville, on May 1, 1967.
