Originally formed as The Black Heritage Trail in 2007 and later renamed the Dora Franklin Finley African-American Heritage Trail of Mobile, this trail seeks to educate, preserve, and highlight the historic contributions of African-Americans in Mobile. It connects significant locations with historic contributions and events to illuminate Mobile's culturally diverse heritage, and it recalls forgotten chapters of history through stories of courage.
